The client’s business area is the sale of holiday goods: balloons, sky lanterns, tableware items, and other accessories. Among the advantages: over 1000 product names in stock, wholesale prices, and nice bonuses for large purchases.
Task Essence
The company approached the web studio to order a turnkey online store to bring the business online and facilitate sales, attracting new customers. According to the client’s wishes, the online store should look solid, restrained, without traditional photos of children’s parties and feasts. The main focus of the visitor should be directed to the product itself. In terms of functional characteristics, the site should be convenient for making purchases and, at the same time, simple, not overloaded, and intuitive. In the future, the promotion of the store is planned, which means the site must meet the main requirements of search engines.
Solution
We began work on creating the online store with a thorough marketing analysis and the development of a selling concept. The target audience was identified as: retail customers, event organizers, decorators, aerodesigners, and children’s party organizers. Convenient product cards were developed for them, indicating the manufacturer and main characteristics, along with images of the products. The ability to immediately select the quantity for wholesale orders in the product card was implemented. The cart transition button, indicating the quantity of products in it, was placed in the header and highlighted with a hover effect. Next to it are all contact phone numbers and a product search feature. Under the header, a horizontal menu of product categories was created.
The design concept deserves special attention. The design turned out to be solid and elegant. Golden shades from the logo were used as the main colors. The overall style of the site is classic, restrained, with an emphasis on the products themselves, which is very important for an online store. The slider on the main page features an image of one of the products in a color scheme that contrasts with the main design. All pages and elements are executed in a unified style, harmonizing with each other. Subtle icons were created for the categories. The empty cart page and the non-existent page are decorated with images relevant to the theme.
